Dell Technologies World 2024

For Dell Technologies World 2024, I created Dell-Bot, a virtual “hero” and interactive mascot designed to guide attendees through the event’s digital and experiential world. The goal was to bring a sense of personality, innovation, and cohesion to Dell’s presence blending storytelling, technology, and interactivity to elevate the user experience.

My Role was responsible for the concept development, 3D design, and modeling of Dell-Bot, created in Cinema 4D. The character was crafted to embody Dell’s brand identity approachable, intelligent, and futuristic while maintaining a sleek, tech-inspired aesthetic consistent with the event’s visual language.

In addition to character creation, I contributed to the design and development of an interactive game built in Unreal Engine, where Dell-Bot acted as the player’s guide and companion. This experience allowed attendees to explore Dell’s latest technologies in an engaging, gamified environment.

Process & Tools

• Concept sketches and storyboards to define Dell-Bot’s personality and tone.

• 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging in Cinema 4D for animation-ready assets.

• Real-time integration into Unreal Engine for use in the interactive experience.

• Collaboration with motion designers, developers, and brand teams to ensure a consistent visual and narrative experience across touchpoints.

Outcome

The project was very well received by the client and attendees alike. Dell-Bot quickly became a recognizable symbol of the 2024 event, praised for its innovation, polish, and brand alignment. The interactive experience helped increase engagement and dwell time, and attendees responded positively to the approachable and playful nature of Dell-Bot’s design.
