Illumina 5Base Solution

I worked with the amazing team at StaticJoe Studios to create a 60-second film for Illumina, the genome sequencing innovators based in Silicon Valley. The brief was to showcase their groundbreaking 5-base solution turning complex science into something visually beautiful and surprisingly human.

My idea was to visualise the data in a clean, isometric world, where structure meets creativity. Each scene was carefully built to flow with rhythm and clarity a sort of precision-engineered ballet of pixels and particles. I wove in Illumina’s lovely orange brand colour throughout, giving the film warmth and a sense of optimism that perfectly matched their brand.

The final piece was a sleek, modern explainer with a playful edge bringing data to life through motion, design, and a bit of isometric obsession.
